Message From The Pastor
I must admit that I am excited and feel very blessed to have been called to serve as your pastor at Madison Avenue. You are really a great church and a wonderful group of people! I will continue to work very hard to learn all of your names, but if I make a mistake please tell me.
Thank you for the wonderful welcome you gave my family and me. The fish fry was great and it gave my family a chance to meet you. My husband, Ed, who is pastor at Mount Olivet UMC gave you a great compliment. He commented that the folks at Madison Avenue were just like his congregation at Mount Olivet, and that he felt at home with you.
My mother, Sissy Dedrick, was also very impressed with the friendliness that you extended. (She has even learned her way to the church.) Our granddaughter, Mercedes, who also lives with us, appreciates the way she was accepted. Mother and Mercedes plan on transferring their membership to Madison Avenue.
One of my most important jobs in the near future is to meet personally with each of you. Please drop in and say hello when you are at the church. If you need me to visit with you at your home, just give a call and we will set something up.
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Sandy
